A couple years ago, all I ever bought was make-up. You'd never see me venturing to the skin care aisle. But these days, the first signs of aging have begun to show-up, and like any girl scared of facing adulthood and old age, I'm freaking out! So I've been doing what I do best: shopping. Every week it seems, I'm ordering more and more stuff from Sephora. Luckily for you all, you can benefit from my obsession; I've decided to review the stuff I bought, after dealing with the confusion of figuring out what to buy myself. As an FYI, I'll be reviewing after a couple weeks of use and disregarding cost in the overall review.
This week I'm reviewing this Glow by Dr. Brandt set.
I'm a huge fan of the overnight resurfacing serum! Many of the reviewer at Sephora did mention the terrible smell, but I find it bearable and a small price to pay for the result. My skin feels so soft and hydrated, without any hint of oiliness! After a couple of weeks, I am seeing a slight improvement in my skin. I had a dark spot on my cheek which concerned me, but it now almost gone.
On the other hand, the ruby crystal retinol hydracréme was a disappointment. It just feels like a normal moisturizer, and not a very good one at that. I end up pairing it with another moisturizer and an eye cream. The smell however is much better then the overnight resurfacing serum!
Verdict: Buy the full sized overnight serum and go with another moisturizer/treatment for daytime use.
My mom last year. I hope I look like that when I'm 50!
